Staff Update

Our team approach helps us serve you more efficiently.

It’s finally feeling like spring in Kentucky, and I don’t know about you, but I’m ready for it! And now that we’re emerging from our winter hibernation, I wanted to give you all a staff update, and a reminder about what to expect when working with Family Financial Partners. We take a true team approach to our business, helping us serve you in the best and most efficient way possible.

First, I’d like to introduce you to some new folks in our operations department. Greg Wright still heads up our ops team, and his crew – affectionately known as “the Greglets” – now includes Operations Associate Pierce Barber, and interns Ryan Petrunyak and Justin Yurt. They’re pictured hard at work, top right. Although word is still out on who wore it better – Pierce or Greg (bottom photo) – Greg reports that Justin is actually the snappiest dresser. Ryan has the best taste in pizza (and trust me, Greg knows his pizza!), and they can never all agree on what music to play. Seriously though, these are the guys you are likely to hear from the most often when we need to call you about any back office account services. I know many times it’s easier to want to communicate via email or text with our busy lives, but keep in mind that there are times when we do need to hear your voice, if only to make sure it’s you and not a Russian spy requesting any information. (Ha!) This team handles all paperwork, client login questions, check drop-offs, automatic contributions, beneficiary changes, etc.

One thing that we think truly sets us apart from other firms is our team approach, and the experts we hire in each field. Having a dedicated operations team means Alex, Kyrk and I can spend more time focusing on client accounts and growing the business, while our marketing and client relations team works their magic planning memorable events and interacting with you on social media.

When it’s time for you to come in for your quarterly update meeting, Client Relations Coordinator Katie Gruver will reach out to you based on your agreed upon availability. She’ll work with you and your schedule to find a time for you to come in and talk to one of our Senior Partners & Wealth Advisors about organizing your financial life and reviewing your portfolio. First meetings typically last 90 minutes to two hours, while subsequent meetings typically take about an hour. Katie will also be the first person you see when you arrive for your meeting. She’ll take care of anything you need and help you settle into one of the conference rooms before your preferred advisor comes in to meet with you. Katie is also our event planner and, along with intern Anna Fitzhugh, our social media guru. Need help finding us on any of the various social media channels? Katie will be glad to help.

An integral part of our team approach to financial planning is that all team members communicate with each other daily. No one works in a silo. If the person you’re trying to reach is out of the office or in a meeting when you call, each team member is empowered to answer questions if they can, or connect you with another team member who can help you. It’s our goal for you to never have to leave a voicemail. Even if the person you reach needs to take notes and have someone call you back, you know there’s a real person working on your concern.

We appreciate the opportunity to work and grow with each and every one of you, and we look forward to meeting anyone else you think could benefit from working with our team. We’ll keep the coffee hot.
