Rebekah (Becky) Sellers is the Executive Writer at Family Financial Partners, Inc. — a financial services firm.
Becky holds a bachelor’s degree in Communication from Southwestern University, a small liberal arts college in Georgetown, Texas. She began her career as a newspaper reporter at The Williamson County Sun, the largest non-daily paper in Texas and one of the last independently owned newspapers in the country. From there, Becky transitioned into magazine writing, editing, and then digital media and marketing. Writing is her passion and she feels lucky to get paid to do something she loves. Her career has taken her from Texas to Nevada and now Kentucky.
A native of Kansas, Becky’s family moved to Georgetown, Texas when she was 10. It was there that she learned to ride horses, eventually competing in small rodeos and teaching riding lessons to kids after school. She still rides occasionally to this day.
Although Texas will always feel like home, she loves Kentucky and has put down roots since moving here ten years ago. Outside of work, she sings alto with The Lexington Singers, enjoys meeting with her book club and accompanying her beagle mix, Hoover, on his beloved daily walks. She remains an avid fan of the Texas Longhorns and Kansas City Chiefs football teams. Attempts to convert her into a basketball fan have, so far, been unsuccessful.
