Family Financial Foundation Gives Back

Did you know Family Financial Partners has a non-profit branch?

For the last couple of weeks, we’ve been talking about giving, and how and why we see our client families choosing to give away some of their hard-earned assets. Whether it’s for a tax break, to pay forward an opportunity they were given, or simply to feel good about a choice they’re making, we’ve helped many of our clients get the most out of their charitable gifts.

Today, I want to talk a little about our own approach to giving. Seven years ago, my business partner, Alex Roig, and I decided to start a non-profit branch of Family Financial Partners, and the Family Financial Foundation was born. Just as we believe a giving strategy is an important part of any financial plan, we also believe it’s an important part of a business plan.

As with many of our client families, our goal was to give back to our community – the place we call home – in a meaningful and deliberate way. We choose organizations based on their commitment to improving the quality of life for Kentucky families, because we believe that all families deserve the opportunity to better themselves. We also strive to increase the public awareness of the non-profits we choose to help, through social media and sponsorship opportunities.

Alex and I, and the entire Family Financial team, are proud and humbled to say that since its inception, we have raised and dispersed nearly $90,000 for central-Kentucky families through our foundation.

This month, we are launching a new way for our client families to get involved in giving back along with us, through an organization called World Changers. Look for more details about how you can help us choose where our charitable dollars will go as we continue our commitment to giving back and helping others.

And as always, if you have questions about charitable giving or know someone who does, please, give us a call and let us know.
